I am a Computer Information Systems graduate from the University of Louisville College of Business. I currently work at the Non Profit Innovation Center and UPS in Louisville Kentucky. At the Non Profit Innovation center these are some of my duties:
Database Migration – Worked with SQL Server 2008 to transfer CMS databases to other servers. Knowledge of database structure and networking was required. Data integrity and confidentiality were essential for successful job completion.
Web Development – Knowledge of a student built CMS called Carnegie that was written using C#, HTML, .NET, and NHibernate. Experienced working with object oriented data modeling using NHibernate. Subversion was used to maintain development on the CMS.
IT Support – I provided basic IT support for hardware and software dependant on the clients needs. Collaboration with the client to ensure knowledge of the CMS tool and the visual presentation of web sites.
I am also working as a Customer Service Supervisor at UPS. I have been at UPS for almost five years and was promoted to supervisor in April of 2010. I have also worked as an Acceptance Auditor dealing with hazardous material packages and a Metro College Representative. These are a breakdown of my duties:
Acceptance Auditor – Audited hazardous material packages to ensure compliance with UPS, DOT, and FAA regulations. Knowledge of the 49 CFR and IATA reference items for packaging and transportation regulations.
Metro College Representative – Advised employees on academic benefits and policies that are provided by UPS. Knowledge of the requirements for local universities and UPS to answer questions and advise students was required.
Customer Service Supervisor – Managed small groups of employees that respond to hazardous material spills in UPS facilities. Knowledge of SCBA and hazardous material information was required to train employees along with DOT and FAA regulations.
